Heat Celebrate Teal Ribbon Day

22 February 2017

To mark Teal Ribbon Day today as part of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, the Brisbane Heat have announced they will present $10,379.74 to OCA as part of their support to help educate the community about ovarian cancer.

The Heat and OCA encourage all all Australians to purchase and wear a Teal Ribbon today to raise awareness of ovarian cancer; show support for the women, and their families, who are living with the disease; and to remember those who have passed.

The $10,000 donation was raised by Heat members and supporters who took the opportunity to click up their heels at the January 20 match against the Renegades with the annual Teal Heals event at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club.

Heat players wore teal ribbons during the match as well to show their support for Ovarian Cancer Australia, the club's official charity partner

BBL|06 was the fourth season that the Brisbane Heat have been involved with OCA and are extremely proud of the work they do that makes a difference to so many Australian families.
