Both Mooney and Jonassen were selected in the Southern Stars Test and ODI squads after standout performances in Australian, Brisbane Heat and Queensland colours over the past two years.
Jonassen played a key role in Australia's 2015 Ashes triumph, scoring 99 on her Test debut to claim Player of the Match honours.
Earlier in 2017, Mooney became the first Queensland female player to score a One-Day International century, coming off a successful Women's Big Bash League campaign that saw her crowned Player of the Tournament.
The first match of the series to be played in Brisbane is already sold out, with Australia and England to battle it out across three One-Day Internationals, an inaugural Ashes Day-Night Test match and three Twenty20 Internationals.
Australia's Twenty20 squad will be announced following the third ODI.
