Queensland Bulls batsman Marnus Labuschagne has secured the Brisbane Heat's final contract for the 2016-17 Big Bash League season after a standout season in the Matador Cup where he was named Player of the Tournament.
South African born, Marnus moved to Brisbane when he was 10 and has since called the sunshine state home.
A stylish batsman and outstanding fielder, Labuschagne adds to a dynamic Heat batting lineup brimming with talent.
Marnus gained worldwide notoriety in 2014 when he took an brilliant catch at short-leg while fielding for Australia. At the same time a video surfaced on social media of him practicing his catching at home using a piece of corn!
