Samuel Badree Brisbane Heat Bowler
West Indies leg-spinner Samuel Badree has re-joined the Brisbane Heat for his second season in teal after a standout season as the club's best bowler in BBL|05.
The World Number One Ranked T20 bowler took nine wickets in his first Big Bash League season including a match-winning 5-22 against the Melbourne Stars.
He followed up his BBL spell by starring in the West Indies' World Twenty20 winning campaign, taking 2-16 in the final and 9 wickets for the competition.
Outside of cricket Sam works as PE Teacher in his native Trinidad and Tobago and plies his trade in the Caribbean Premier League with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Badree was also signed by the Heat in BBL|04 but his tournament ended before it began when he was cruelly ruled out with a shoulder injury on the eve of the competition.
Sam is the Heat's second international signing for BBL|06 with New Zealand star Brendon McCullum also on board, while he could also make up a deadly leg-spinning duo with youngster Mitch Swepson.
Leg-spinners are match winners, and we are hoping Sam will be just that for the Brisbane Heat in this season's Big Bash League!
