BBL|03 was a breakthrough season for Cameron Gannon where he topped the competition's wicket takers list with 18 scalps.
His signature for BBL|04 is viewed as a vital one for the Brisbane Heat, with many of his wickets coming in the final overs when Gannon's height, bounce and change of pace can be best utilised.
The towering paceman has also played 15 first-class and 12 list-A games for the My Foot Dr Queensland Bulls, and is seen as a long term prospect.
Having grown up around the Camira region, halfway between Brisbane and Ipswich, he has always been a western suburbs boy. He plays his Grade cricket with Wests.
A baseball fanatic who has relatives in the United States, a favourite holiday destination, he has also enjoyed the experience of playing minor league cricket in England.
In what little spare time he has, 'Ganno' is studying to be a secondary school teacher and is also a golfing fanatic.
Has plenty of pace and bounce about him and improving every time he plays. Showed plenty last year and could be a bit of a secret weapon for us.
