The Brisbane Heat have added a hospitality giant to their off-field team as they gear up for a huge Big Bash summer.
Heat Join With Oaks
Minor Hotels Australasia, which has over 65 properties in key locations throughout the region, has been named the Official Partner and Preferred Hotel Partner of Queensland Cricket and Brisbane Heat for the next three years.
The recently refreshed Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites will be the focus of the partnership with Minor Hotels, with moments for families and fans both on-property and at the games, including hospitality activations and player appearances
Oaks will be the Presenting Partner of the ‘Festive Bash’ KFC BBL match at the Gabba on 27 December between the Heat and the Adelaide Strikers.
Interstate and international WBBL and BBL Heat players will stay at Oaks properties in Brisbane this season. There will also be special offers for Heat fans over summer including ‘stay and play’ ticketing and hotel offers.
Pete Lock, Brisbane Heat’s General Manager – Commercial, Marketing & Corporate Affairs welcomed Minor Hotels to the club.
“The Heat and Queensland Cricket are excited to join with Minor Hotels, especially with summertime being such a key period for us all,’’ he said.
“Working with an international hotel partner in Minor Hotels, utilising a popular and well-known brand in Oaks, is a significant win for the Heat and one that we are delighted to announce ahead of the coming summer.”
“Oaks and Minor Hotels have an extensive network across the country, so we know our teams and players will be well looked after when we are on the road over cricket season.”
“Having a preferred hotel partner will also benefit our fans and give them the opportunity for a great experience through ticketing and accommodation offers. It helps the Heat with our key focus of bringing families together every season,” Lock said.
Craig Hooley, Chief Operating Officer Minor Hotels Australasia said:
“We’re proud to align Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites with Queensland Cricket and the Brisbane Heat. This partnership goes beyond the field. It's about inspiring connection and adventure that continues long after the game.
"With our Oaks properties in key locations, we’re ideally positioned to offer fans and players not just proximity to the action, but meaningful experiences and lasting memories.”
The partnership continues a fruitful 12 months for the Brisbane Heat and Queensland Cricket with a host of new partners and sponsorship renewals.
Royal Caribbean Cruises was unveiled earlier this year as Official Membership and Holiday Partners, while Plantation Homes, a first-time partner last season, have extended their deal for the coming Big Bash.
Principal partner Queensland Country Bank and Poolwerx will again feature prominently on the Heat playing kit for their second season as club sponsors.
