WATCH Above: Heat vs All-Stars Highlights
While the highlight of the day was undoubtedly Chris Lynn's blistering 83 runs from 27 balls in the day's second game, there were several performances from the Premier All-stars that kept the Heat honest.
Western Suburbs and former Heat all-rounder Chris Sabburg top scored for the Premier team in both games with knocks of 33 from 19 balls and 31 off 14.
Sabburg's opening partner Kendel Fleming (Northern Suburbs) smashed a quick-fire 32 from 20 balls in the day's first match as did Jason Floros in match two who belted 24 from 14.
Opening pair Paddy Dooley (Wests) and Ronan McDonald (Toombul) took wickets in both games, as did Dooley's club-mate Blake Edwards who enjoyed a fruitful day with figures of 2-13 and 2-26.
Some sensational fielding also highlighted the day, with Heat all-rounder Cameron Valente taking a screamer to remove Chris Lynn while playing for the Premier team, plus Marnus Labuschagne's effort on the boundary was one to remember.
Ultimately the Heat were too good in both games, recording 96 and 30 run victories, though it was encouraging to see the best of Queensland's Premier competition mixing it with some of the country's finest T20 players.
