Fans at the Brisbane Heat’s home matches this season will enjoy the return of the award-winning CUA Pool Deck and new world-class replay screens as summer’s hottest ticket delivers an even better experience at the Gabba.

The Pool Deck was a massive hit with Gabba fans across the season last year and its return for the first Test of the Magellan Ashes Series, commencing on 23 November 2017, the One Day International on 19 January 2018 and the Heat’s five KFC Big Bash League home games will be another winner.

The Gabba will also have completed the installation of its two new replay screens in time for the Ashes and BBL which promise to accentuate the electric atmosphere at the venue this summer.

The Pool Deck at the Gabba will be built inside the stadium and will feature a six metre by eight metre tiered pool and two large tiered decks with seating, tables and shade, giving fans a chance to enjoy a unique experience with a dip in the pool while enjoying world class international cricket action.

Once again, Brisbane Heat fans will be able to purchase tickets at the CUA Pool Deck for each of the five home matches including a double-header with the Rebel WBBL Heat on the Australia Day long weekend.

Brisbane Heat General Manager Andrew McShea said the return of the CUA Pool Deck would further lift the at-match experience for fans.

“The Heat have made it a priority to deliver world class, family friendly entertainment for fans at our matches and the CUA Pool Deck provides an experience unique to the Gabba,’’ he said.

“The addition of the new replay screens will further enhance that experience, and we are also excited by what we are looking to introduce this summer in terms of our at-match entertainment, as well as the thrilling efforts of our players, led by Brendon McCullum.”

“We expect tickets to again be sort after, and our opening home game against the Melbourne Stars on 20 December will be a bumper match. Based on last season, we are aiming for sell outs each match so we will be urging fans to pre-purchase tickets once they go on sale on the 16th of October,’’ McShea said.

The Heat is coming off a summer of record highs last season, featuring five sold out home games including a semi-final that featured a new crowd record of 35,116 and its highest-ever membership base.

The semi-final crowd meant the Heat attracted 171,877 to its four regular home games as well as the final, with its season average 34,375.

The Gabba will host the Melbourne Stars, Sydney Thunder, defending champions Perth Scorchers, Hobart Hurricanes and the Melbourne Renegades these holidays, with the first home match against the Stars on 20 December.

Tickets for all Heat matches go on sale on Monday October 16 through Ticketmaster, however the CUA Pool Deck will go on sale closer to the start of the BBL|07.

Entry level ticket prices remain unchanged and family-friendly for the seventh straight season, from $22 for adults, $8 for kids, and $48 for families, with the same general reserved pricing for double-header matches.

Pricing for the CUA Pool Deck will be advised shortly.
