Heat go regional for Play Cricket Month

27 August 2018

Players from the Brisbane Heat, Queensland Bulls and Queensland Fire will visit fans in regional Queensland across the next week as part of Play Cricket Month and the Queensland Cricket Regional Tour, brought to you by Join the Drive.

The Join the Drive Regional Tour marks Queensland Cricket’s support of the Queensland Government’s Road Safety Week, while also promoting Play Cricket Month across the state.

Running from the 27th – 31st of August, Queensland Road Safety Week is a state-wide initiative focused on encouraging, promoting and educating the public on safe driving on Queensland’s roads.

Queensland Cricket and the Brisbane Heat will act as a Road Safety Week Champion by hosting a series of staff and stakeholder events, while daily road safety content will be published across the Brisbane Heat and QC social media accounts.

The Heat's Community Cricket staff will spend the week promoting the sport to fans in regional Queensland alongside players from the Brisbane Heat, Queensland Bulls and Queensland Fire.

Sign-on for cricket clubs and Woolworth Cricket Blast Programs are currently available through Playcricket.com.au.

Queensland Cricket and Brisbane Heat partners CUA, Betta, National Storage and Village Roadshow will be supporting Play Cricket Month through a variety of fan giveaways, offers and incentives, with regional CUA and Betta branches actively involved in the tour.
