LAST TIME THEY MET
The Heat and Hurricanes are coming off a last-start thriller at the Gabba that saw Hobart get home by 3-runs.
D'arcy Short led the way for the Hurricanes with a sensational century, while the post-game headlines were hogged by Alex Ross's controversial dismissal for obstructing the field.
The Heat and Hurricanes have four wins to their names and sit in fourth and fifth on the BBL|07 ladder respectively, so this game could be crucial for both club's finals chances. The Hurricanes have also got a game in hand, so a win for the Heat holds extra importance.

MATCH WINNERS - BRISBANE HEAT
Brendon McCullum is leading the run-scorers list for the Heat this season and on his day a pure match-winner.
In the absence of Chris Lynn, the Heat will once again be looking to Joe Burns for a significant boost in the middle order. Burns has made solid contributions so far this season and will be seeking to consolidate his position as a Bash Brother in waiting.
Yasir Shah has been superb for the Brisbane Heat since coming in to replace Shadab Khan where he is going at just 5.62 runs per over.
HOBART HURRICANES
D'arcy Short is the BBL's in-form batsmen at the moment where he has smashed 406 runs, 121 more than his closest rival. His is the key wicket for the Heat.
Cameron Boyce remains one of the competition's best leg-spinners and a bowler to be wary of for the Heat.
Jofra Archer has proven to be a great acquisition for the Hurricanes where he has taken nine wickets and led the competition's highlight reel with brilliance in the field.
