Heat To Host Sixers In BBL Semi Final

The Brisbane Heat will set their sights on another bumper Gabba crowd after finishing second and earning the right to host the second BIG Semi-Final of the KFC Big Bash League on Wednesday night.

It will be the first time the Heat have hosted a BBL semi-final in the competition history, with the Sydney Sixers coming to Brisbane in the wake of tonight’s tense win over the Melbourne Stars at the MCG.

The Heat, champions in BBL|02, finished BBL|06 with a 5-3 record on 10 points, with Perth finishing in first spot on Net Run Rate.

The Rebel Women’s Big Bash League Brisbane Heat will also be in the BIG Semi-Finals, finishing third in the wake of their thrilling Super Over win over the Adelaide Strikers earlier today at the Gabba.

The WBBL Heat will travel to Perth tomorrow afternoon to take on the Perth Scorchers on Tuesday at The Furnace as part of the finals double-header with the Scorchers hosting the Melbourne Stars.

The other WBBL semi-final will feature the Hobart Hurricanes against the Sydney Sixers at the Gabba on Wednesday as part of the double-header with the Heat.

All WBBL and BBL finals will be broadcast live on Network TEN.
