Heat Make One WBBL Change

06 January 2018

The WBBL Brisbane Heat has made one change to their squad for this weekend’s away series against the Hobart Hurricanes in Hobart.

Top order batter Tess Cooper comes into the squad in place of South African batter Laura Wolvaardt who has returned home after her stint in the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League to commence her university studies for a medical degree.

Heat allrounder Grace Harris is hoping to make a return from a knee injury in the near future, but Cooper, who made her Rebel Women's Big Bash League debut last season, has been included in the squad for the first time in the series.

The Emerald product played for the Konica Minolta Queensland Fire earlier this season.

The Heat are coming off two strong wins over the Adelaide Strikers, by nine wickets and eight wickets, with Australian batter Beth Mooney leading from the front in each victory.

The Heat sit in sixth spot at present but with the potential to move into the top four with good performances against the Hurricanes.

Both matches will be live-streamed through cricket.com.au
