FORM
Three contrasting wins in quick succession for Brisbane – two strong batting efforts, against the Hurricanes in Hobart and then the rain-affected slug-out against the Thunder, before the bowlers put the club in a strong spot to win chasing at the Gabba on Thursday night against Hobart. Perth completed a strong win over the Melbourne Renegades at Geelong and will be confident of a solid showing at home.

LAST TIME THEY MET
At Metricon Stadium earlier this month. Not one of the Heat’s best performances as they stumbled to a 40-run loss off the back of a limp run chase.

FORM AT OPTUS STADIUM
Brisbane will remember their effort last season when Mujeeb Ur Rahman spun them to victory in their first visit to Optus Stadium. The Scorchers set themselves to have a better home record this season after battling to post victories at the striking new venue and will represent a serious challenge.

KEY PLAYERS

Zahir Khan v Liam Livingstone
The last game for the effervescent left-arm wrist spinner from Afghanistan before he hands over to countryman Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Has impressed with his skill and is not afraid to bowl in the Power Play, which is where English import Livingstone has been eye-catching so far. The hard-hitting opener has produced a solid partnership with Josh Inglis and represents a key wicket for Brisbane.

WATCH: Banton Smashes 56 off 19

Tom Banton v Jhye Richardson
The final game for the talented Tom Banton before AB de Villiers steps in. Has shown his potential in two significant innings in his campaign, including the second fastest BBL half century of all time, and the Heat would love to see him produce one more big innings. Richardson is relishing being the pace spearhead of the Scorchers, and along with leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed, has been his team’s go-to bowler.

IT'S A BIG NIGHT FOR..
James Pattinson. Adds some serious pace to a Heat bowling attack that has grown in stature in the past few games. He should enjoy the chance to let loose against the Scorchers.
