The Heat dropped out of Finals contention last night with a loss to the Melbourne Stars at the MCG.
He replaces allrounder Jack Wildermuth who missed last night’s game for personal reasons.
Dooley is in line to play his second BBL game after making his debut against the Hobart Hurricanes at the Gabba a week ago.
He was one of the replacement group of players assembled by Brisbane when 12 members of their starting squad were sidelined with COVID-19 earlier this month.
Dooley, 24, is one of 13 players to debut for the Heat this season, the most by the club since the foundation year in BBL|01. In all, 28 players have appeared for Brisbane this season.
Heat batter Ben Duckett, who scored his third half century of the tournament last night, needs seven runs to pass 300 runs for the series while fellow top order bat Chris Lynn needs 21 runs to pass 3000 career runs in the BBL for the Brisbane Heat.
