The Heat have used this week to recharge and reset in Brisbane following their last-start loss to the Melbourne Stars last weekend in Launceston.
The squad will prepare for tomorrow morning’s clash with the Renegades which are one win ahead Brisbane at the top of the ladder but having played one game more.
The Heat play back-to-back matches against the Renegades at Karen Rolton Oval and defending champions, the Sydney Thunder, at the Adelaide Oval this weekend.
The clash with the Thunder will be the first time the two teams have met since last season when Sydney overcame the Heat in the semi-final on their way to taking the title.
It will be broadcast live on Channel Seven on Sunday morning.
Both Heat games will also be broadcast on Foxtel and ABC Radio and live-streamed through Kayo.
Heat coach Ashley Noffke said the team had taken advantage of the short break at home to prepare for the second half of the tournament.
“We have some big games to come this weekend in Adelaide and then we have the games in Mackay the following weeks so the chance to have a mini-break and freshen-up was very important,’’ he said.
“We’re looking forward to getting back into playing mode now and working on a few things we identified during the Tasmanian leg of the WBBL.”
The squad for Sunday's game will be finalised following tomorrow's match against the Renegades.
