The Heat and OCA will host the fifth edition of Teal Heels on Sunday January 19 when the Melbourne Renegades travel to the Gabba for a BBL|09 blockbuster.
With a limited number of tickets available, the event will again be quick to sell out as the Heat continue to raise funds and awareness for ovarian cancer research and patient support.
With Queensland Cricket having raised $20,000 at each of the last two events, Brisbane Heat General Manager Andrew McShea said Teal Heels has become an important date on the club’s calendar.
“Teel Heals has become an event we look forward to each BBL season. It allows to raise money and show our support for Ovarian Cancer Australia who we value as our Official Charity Partner, while also bringing families and friends together for what we hope is an uplifting and enjoyable night.
“It is very rewarding knowing we can host an event like Teal Heels that contributes to Ovarian Cancer Australia and makes such a positive difference to so many lives. We look forward to hosting another great event in 2020.”
OCA Chief Executive Officer Jane Hill thanked the Brisbane Heat for their ongoing support of hosting Teal Heels.
“Teal Heels has become an important event for Ovarian Cancer Australia. It helps us kick off Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, which is held in February each year, and raises invaluable funds and awareness to support the four women diagnosed with ovarian cancer each day.
“The Brisbane Heat have been fantastic in making a huge difference and we look forward to another successful event.”
Tickets are currently on sale for $100 which includes a food and beverage package, with the night’s entertainment to include guest speakers, raffles, plus live and silent auctions.
