Knott Called In For Heat

06 November 2020

Allrounder Charli Knott will have her first taste of the rebel Women's Big Bash League this weekend after being included in the WBBL Heat squad for the first time this tournament.

Knott, who has been sidelined during the week while the Brisbane State High School student completes her Year 12 exams in the WBBL Village, comes into the 13-player squad in place of spinner Lilly Mills.

She would make her WBBL debut if chosen in the starting side for tomorrow's vital clash against the Adelaide Strikers at North Sydney Oval, joining schoolmate and fellow teen Georgia Voll who made her Heat debut in the loss to the Sydney Sixers on Wednesday.

The Heat face a crucial clash against the Strikers, with last year's Finalists both seeking a winning boost.

Brisbane take on the unbeaten Melbourne Stars on Sunday at North Sydney Oval from 11.45am in their second match in an important weekend for the two-time champions.
