WBBL Stars in Club Action

29 November 2017

With the Rebel Women's Big Bash League just over a week away, the Brisbane Heat squad will warm up in Queensland's Premier Cricket competition under lights.

The second T20 round of the Katherine Raymont Shield will be played at Chelmer Sports Ground, including three night fixtures.

The weekend action will see several Heat stars turn out for their clubs, including Kirby Short, Holly Ferling (Wests), Delissa Kimmince, Sammy Jo-Johnson (Gold Coast), Haidee Birkett, Laura Harris (University of Queensland), Jemma Barsby Georgia Prestwidge, Courtney Hill and Tess Cooper (Sandgate-Redcliffe).

The Heat squad looks to be hitting form at the right time after the Queensland Fire had two resounding victories in the Women's National Cricket League on the weekend, while Beth Mooney, Delissa Kimmince and Jess Jonassen all played starring roles in Australia's Women's Ashes triumph.

The opening weekend of the WBBL|03 season sees the Heat face the Perth Scorchers next Sunday morning the 10th of December at 9:45am, with action live on the TEN network.
