The Brisbane Heat represent our great city and the sunny state of Queensland in the KFC T20 Big Bash League and Rebel Women's Big Bash League.
Now approaching its tenth season, the BBL has grown to be one of the best T20 competitions in the world.
The Heat are one of five clubs to have won a BBL crown, having taken out the competition in 2012-13.
We compete amongst eight foundation teams including the Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers.
The competition consists of fourteen matches per team, plus five final matches. We play our seven home games at either The Gabba - Queensland's home for top level domestic and international cricket or Metricon Stadium at the Gold Coast.
In 2014-15 the revolutionary Women's Big Bash League was launched. Now in its sixth season, the WBBL is regarded as the world's best female T20 competition, where Australia's best and brightest talent often compete against the top echelon of international cricket's greatest players.
The Brisbane Heat will head into WBBL|06 as the reigning champions, after taking out the title in WBBL|04 and WBBL|05. WBBL home games are usually played all over Queensland including regional towns as well as the State's capital, Brisbane. This season, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the entire WBBL season will take place in Sydney.
