The Brisbane Heat has made one change for tomorrow night’s season-shaping Weber Women’s Big Bash League match against the Sydney Sixers at Allan Border Field.
Heat Seek Top Spot | Squad Set For Sixers
Mikayla Wrigley comes back into the squad with Local Replacement Player Lily Bassingthwaighte dropping out of the 13-player squad.
The Heat beat the Melbourne Stars last night in a rain-affected seven overs a side match to lock in their seventh finals appearance in a row.
Brisbane now has the chance to potentially finish on top of the ladder and earn the right to host the Final at the Gabba next Sunday.
The Melbourne Renegades currently sit on top of the WBBL ladder after defeating the Sydney Thunder earlier today, with the Heat needing to beat the Sixers tomorrow and improve their net run-rate sufficiently enough to finish first.
The WBBL Finals series features ‘The Knockout’ (three vs four) on Wednesday, ‘The Challenger’ (second vs winner of The Knockout) on Friday and the Final on Sunday.
If the Heat qualify to host either ‘the Knockout’ or ‘the Challenger’, it would be held at Allan Border Field and if they finish on top, would host the Final at the Gabba.
Tomorrow’s match will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Foxtel, and streamed on7 Plus and Kayo. ABC Radio will also cover the match.
Tickets are on sale now through Ticketek.
