HARRIS RETURNS FOR HEAT | Ace Allrounder Cleared For WBBL

The WBBL Brisbane Heat will welcome back top order trump card Grace Harris for tomorrow night's Weber Women’s Big Bash League match against the Perth Scorchers at Allan Border Field.

After missing Sunday’s season opener against the Melbourne Renegades, the allrounder has been cleared to return from the calf injury that she suffered just prior to the recent ICC Cricket World Cup.

After missing the entire World Cup, which was won by India for the first time, Harris has now been given the greenlight to resume playing.

Her selection sees pace bowler Bonnie Berry drop out of the Heat squad of thirteen for Brisbane’s second match of the competition.

Harris was the team’s leading runs-scorer last season with 277 runs at a strike-rate of 133, and with 131 career games for the Heat, is the second-most experienced player for Brisbane behind captain Jess Jonassen (148 games).

The Heat lost its opening game to the Renegades under the Duckworth Lewis Sterns method due to wet weather on Sunday at Allan Border Field.

Tomorrow’s match starts at 6.10pm local time.

The match is a FOX exclusive with live streaming through Kayo.

If chosen in the starting side, 18-year-old allrounder Lily Bassingthwaighte would make her WBBL debut for the Heat.
