Player Story
Laura Harris, better known as 'Larris', is a powerful mid-order batter who has become a staple in the Brisbane Heat batting line up alongside her sister Grace.
Growing up in Ipswich, Laura tried out any sport she could including rugby league, soccer and cricket. As a loyal Broncos supporter, she frequently dressed up as Darren Lockyer when versing her three siblings in a game of backyard footy!
Laura loved playing club and school cricket growing up but decided to follow a career in nursing. After a few years of working in the emergency department at Logan Hospital, Laura picked up a bat again, which rapidly catapulted her into a professional sporting career with the Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat.
As a Nundah local, Laura is a regular customer at the Nundah Village Bakery and loves a French Custard Scroll, but nothing beat's her Mum's Jam Roly-Polys.
Harris is super excited to play in front of her family at Allan Border Field this season, and of course alongside her younger sister Grace!
