The Brisbane Heat has named a squad of 14 players to prepare for tomorrow's return KFC Big Bash League match against the Perth Scorches at Optus Stadium in Perth.
Heat Set for Perth Tomorrow
Pace bowler Jordan Buckingham returns to the squad as a Local Replacement Player, and under the BBL rules, must be included in the twelve for the match.
The Heat, with Australian players Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne in their ranks, defeated the Scorchers by 23-runs on Wednesday at the Gabba to secure top spot and the right to host The Qualifier Final on the Gold Coast next week.
Tickets went on sale today, with strong early sales for the Final which will be the first to be held at Heritage Bank Stadium at Carrara.
Tomorrow’s game, which will be a day match in Perth, will be the last for Heat International players Colin Munro and Sam Billings before they head to join the ILT20 tournament.
Munro, who was troubled by a hip complaint on Wednesday, trained lightly today at the venue.
Recent Test squad inclusion Matthew Renshaw has been included in the squad to play tomorrow before linking with the national team for the opening Test of the West Indies series in Adelaide.
The game is a repeat of last year's BBL Final, won in thrilling circumstances by the Scorchers in the final over of the game.
It is a FOX exclusive match and will be Brisbane's last regular season game before the Finals series.
