Brisbane Heat Institute of Sport and Business

Launched in 2025, the Brisbane Heat Institute of Sport & Business is a pioneering partnership between the Brisbane Heat and TAFE Queensland, creating unique educational pathways for students aspiring to build a career in the sports industry. Our innovative programs combine nationally recognised qualifications with real-world experience inside one of Australia's leading professional sporting organisations.

From school-based coaching accreditations, flexible, accelerated, and virtual diplomas to our flagship Dual Diploma program, students gain practical skills, sports industry knowledge, and valuable professional connections. Through a blend of classroom learning, online study, and work-integrated experiences across the Brisbane Heat organisation, students develop a deep understanding of the dynamic sport and business landscape while learning directly from industry professionals.

Brisbane Heat’s indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by WBBL player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
